Being environmentally conscious is one of our core values. We are constantly striving towards becoming an eco-friendly and sustainable business. We have recently made some ethical changes to our product line and packaging.
Products
We have added Piñatex accessories to our range. Piñatex is the ultimate sustainable material. Piñatex is a natural and vegan alternative to leather made from the leaves left after the pineapple harvest. No extra land, water, fertiliser or pesticides are required to produce the raw material. Piñatex also provides additional income for farmers while creating a vibrant new industry for pineapple growing countries. Our Cork range is made from bark shavings of a cork oak tree. The bark falls off every few years to keep the tree healthy.
Packaging
Our tissue paper is made using acid-free paper and soy-based inks. For every order of tissue paper placed, a tree is planted on my behalf.
The boxes the Piñatex range comes in have been made from recycled cardboard. Why not use the box again for dog treats, collars or bits and bobs? Or please recycle properly.
Mail bags are now plastic free as they are created from plants! They will fully decompose within a matter on months, impressive, eh?
For some orders, bubble wrap may be necessary. All bubble wrap is reused from the orders I receive from my suppliers.
